Business Tips

Sharing is Caring!
  • What are three qualities that you possess or could develop?

  • What is your sentence?

  • How would these qualities have a positive impact on your presence as a marketing tool?

  • Who are you?

  • What do you do?

  • Why are you here?

  • What motivates you?

  • "Lighten up" and "forget the small stuff," you have to develop a thick skin in order to succeed in the world of business.

  • An MBA does not make you smarter, it makes you more educated and a college degree does not guarantee monetary success.

  • You must invest money in your business and take risks in life in order to be successful.

"Life is something to be spent, not to be saved."

  • Rejection and criticism should make you stronger.
  • Learn to be confident after multiple rejections.
  • Grow a thick skin and you might succeed.

There is no such thing as an overnight success.

An idea, product, person or company has to be challenged and coached in order to succeed.

  • Behave politely to everyone you meet.
  • Never be intentionally rude to anyone.
  • This not only demonstrates maturity, but will ultimately produce financial rewards.
Treat others the way you would want to be treated.
  • Accept everyone.
  • Never discriminate on the basis of political preference, religion, race, age, nationality, gender, or sexual orientation.

Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream and we need to make that a reality in modern business.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

  • Bad manners are the result of ignorance and obliviousness. People who have high self-esteem have a genuine concern for others and are able to connect with others' emotions.

  • Business requires empathy.

  • Rude or callous treatment occurs when people have no sense that their behavior has an impact on others, wrapped up in themselves they treat relationships, customers, and clients as an intrusion.
  • Self-awareness causes us to monitor what comes out of our mouths.

  • Relationships are vital to success. People are extremely put off by naked competition and cutthroat behavior. Do not wear your heart on your sleeve in business. Cool is confident.

Useful Tools for Entrepreneurs
1) Business cards, promotion, advertising, wholesaling, and personalized emails, postcards, and correspondence.

2) Niche marketing, websites, brochures, publicity, customer newsletter, direct mailings, friends/acquaintances, associates and contacts.

3) Mobile phones, fax, printer, and copier/scanner.

4) Business convention exhibits, product demonstrations, networking, and overcoming shyness are crucial for any fledgling entrepreneur.

Shyness has a strange element of narcissism, a belief that how we look, how we perform, is truly important to other people.
